Four Library Associations Set
Busy Fall Annual Conference Season

BCR will attend the many library conferences this fall: Wyoming Library Association (WLA), September 24-27; Iowa Library Association (ILA), October 8-10; Colorado Library Association (CLA), October 9-13; and Nevada Library Association(NLA), October 16-19.

Jim Hensinger, manager of BCR's Internet & Database Services, will be at the WLA Conference in Sheridan. He will present the latest news about OCLC, FirstSearch, SilverPlatter and other reference services, the Internet and new hardware and software at the "BCR Network Update" on Thursday, September 25, from 10:25-11:15 a.m. A special FirstSearch training session is scheduled for 1:30-5:30 p.m. that same day.

ILA's conference is at the Sioux City Convention Center. Dreama Deskins, senior member services librarian at BCR's Iowa office, and Ellen Fox, manager of BCR's new Research & Development project, will be on hand at the "BCR Network Update" on Friday, October 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Remember, too, to attend James Neal's Friday morning presentation, which is being sponsored by BCR. Neal, director of libraries at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, will talk about technology and the future of librarianship.

BCR Executive Director David Brunell and Sharon Hoffhines, communications coordinator, will be at the CLA Conference at the Copper Mountain Resort. Brunell will present the "BCR Network Update" on Saturday, October 11, from 4-6 p.m.

Jim Hensinger will again be on hand at the NLA conference to be held in Carson City. He will present the "BCR Network Update" Saturday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to noon.

As always, BCR will staff a booth in the exhibit area at each of the library conferences. Stop by to say hello, ask questions or to see demonstrations of the products and services BCR makes available, many at discount prices, to your library.
